How to Roast Winter Squash

Preheat oven to 350⁰F. Cut squash in half, lengthwise. Scrape out the seeds and reserve for later if you want to roast them. I recommend it! Place an inch of water in a casserole dish, and place the squash, cut side up, in the casserole dish. Dot squash with butter and sprinkle with salt and pepper if so desired. Bake for 45-60 minutes, until fork-tender.
